Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Camille Cano and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. I have gained a number of years of experience counseling young children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am passionate about empowering people to grow, heal, and prosper in life and am eager to build an unwavering level of rapport with any client I work with. I believe that no matter our past life experiences, we are all capable to learn and develop new patterns of behavior that allow us to move forward in life in a happier and more fulfilling way. I have experienced working with a myriad of concerns such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and loss, anger management, and self-esteem. Using Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered Therapy, I apply techniques such as mindfulness, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, grounding, and focusing on the here-and-now. Although therapy can be daunting, it can also be eye-opening, fun, challenging, and a safe place for you to be yourself with someone who will listen openly and without judgment. I believe counseling journey should be tailored to meet your needs and goals and I am here to walk beside you every step of the way!

My approach to therapy

I believe most in Person-Centered Therapy, tailoring counseling around you and your needs. Everyone is different and has unique ways of working through challenges and goals. Counseling should not have a one size fits all approach. Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered Therapy are all theories and approaches I use while focusing on building a strong rapport with you through your counseling journey.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a judgment free zone that is comfortable and welcoming! I am here to listen to your goals and what you'd like to work on in therapy while offering guidance and tools on how to reach those goals and needs. Come as you are, share freely, and we will find the right path for you!
