Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Camille. Thank you for being here. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in patient care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University in California and my Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue Global University.

Throughout my career, I have cared for individuals and families across a wide range of healthcare settings, including emergency nursing, COVID-19 pandemic response, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), outpatient psychiatry, travel nursing, and concierge nursing. My experience supporting patients through psychiatric crises and severe mental illness has provided a strong foundation in crisis intervention, comprehensive psychiatric assessment, and the treatment of complex mental health conditions.

After living and working in major cities such as New York and Los Angeles, I chose to settle down in California's Sierra Nevada foothills, where I discovered the peace and close-knit communities of mountain living. That journey inspired my passion for providing thoughtful, personalized psychiatric care, especially to people seeking a slower, more connected way of life.

I completed my advanced PMHNP clinical training in Yosemite National Park and the surrounding foothill communities. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, mother, first-generation immigrant, multicultural family member, and rural mountain community member, I understand that every person's story is shaped by their health, family, relationships, culture, work, and life experiences. I am committed to creating a welcoming, culturally responsive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

My approach to therapy

I use a holistic, biopsychosocial approach, partnering with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports long-term wellness, resilience, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment typically lasts 75 minutes and is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your mental health concerns, medical history, current symptoms, medications, lifestyle, sleep, relationships, strengths, and treatment goals.

This visit may include:

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation

Discussion of your concerns and goals

Review of previous treatments, medications and history

Diagnostic impressions

Personalized treatment recommendations

Education about your diagnosis and treatment options

Development of a collaborative care plan, which may include medication, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, referrals, or other evidence-based treatments tailored to your needs

Please note that your initial appointment is a consultation and does not automatically establish a provider-patient relationship. During this visit, you and your provider will discuss your concerns, review treatment recommendations, and determine if they are a right fit for your needs. If you and your provider mutually agree on a treatment plan and ongoing care, a therapeutic provider-patient relationship will be established

.

Psychiatric care is often longitudinal, meaning that understanding your mental health develops over time. A diagnosis, medication, or prescription may not be provided during the initial consultation. In some cases, additional information, such as prior medical records, laboratory results, collateral information, or one or more follow-up visits, is needed before an accurate diagnosis or safe treatment recommendations can be made. Our goal is to provide safe, thoughtful, evidence-based care rather than rushing to a diagnosis or prescribing medication before it is clinically appropriate.
