Great to meet you!

"Life is all about how we handle plan B" (Suzy Toronto)

It is difficult to cope with situations, relationships, and our health when things do not go how we had planned. Counseling can help with the difficulty in finding healthy ways to adapt. I work with adults in the areas of depression, anxiety, and bereavement. I see counseling as a collaborative process and therefore strive to help clients develop achievable goals that will improve their quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is warm and inclusive, sprinkled with some humor, to help people work through distressful periods that we experience in life. I have extensive training in grief and loss and am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional. My practice involves a special emphasis on maternal health, addressing reproductive challenges, pregnancy loss, and postpartum depression, anxiety and adjustment.

What you can expect from me

The development of coping strategies for each person in managing life’s stressors and dealing with loss is an area I focus on when working with clients.

I work with my clients to establish a treatment plan which includes outcomes the client wishes to achieve, suggestions for interventions that can achieve those goals and a therapy approach or approaches I believe will be beneficial. I encourage my clients to be the driving force of their counseling.
