Great to meet you!

Welcome- I’m glad you’re here.

My name is Candace Newton, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and relational challenges. My background includes working across multiple levels of care, where I have supported clients in building insight, emotional regulation, and healthier patterns of connection.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in a holistic understanding that healing does not happen in isolation but through connection, insight, and intentional care. I collaborate with clients to understand their unique experiences and develop individualized treatment that supports long-term growth, stability, and overall well-being, while also helping them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and improve relational functioning by addressing the underlying patterns that contribute to emotional and behavioral challenges.

What you can expect from me

My goal in our first session is to create a warm, welcoming, and insightful space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We’ll focus on building a strong sense of connection and trust, while beginning to explore what has brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll start identifying patterns that may feel “stuck” and how past experiences may be influencing your present. Clients leave feeling heard and understood, and with a new sense of clarity and awareness. You can expect to begin making meaningful connections, gain insight into your experiences, and walk away with practical tools and an initial action plan to support positive change that continues beyond the therapy room.
