Great to meet you!

No one ever said how much you will care for your clients as a therapist. Or how invested you become in their healing journey. Areas of focus include: women’s health issues; male specific difficulties; chronic pain; trauma; family therapy; and working with adolescents. Additional specializations include working with Veterans, law enforcement personnel and first responders. I use an integrative therapeutic approach and am passionate about structuring therapy and evaluations to best fit the needs of the client.

Private practice for me, especially in motherhood, is the best of both worlds. Being present for my family and clients allows me to provide my clients with the tools for healthy mental and emotional impact. My goal is to sit with you in darkness and light, to help you engage in an act of bravery to feel your emotions, and learn how to choose yourself.

“Don’t ever take a fence down till you know why it was put up” - Robert Frost. I like to think of therapy from that perspective. Therapy is a process of healing that fence, rebuilding the fence, or finding another structure for support to help people achieve their goals.

My approach to therapy

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. I also incorporate positive psychology and mindfulness. In sessions, we will explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. We look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience, and break down expectations to replace them with goals.

What you can expect from me

A respectful listening ear ready to provide you with care options and assist you in creating realistic goals.
