Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a passion for helping couples, families, and individuals, especially teens and women, navigate emotional pain, trauma, and identity challenges with clarity and compassion. My work is rooted in a trauma-informed and holistic approach, recognizing the deep connection between the mind, body, and spirit in the healing process.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have experience working with adolescents and adults in both individual and group settings. I specialize in supporting clients struggling with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties. I also integrate evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions, and practical coping strategies to help clients build emotional awareness, stability, and resilience.

In addition to clinical work, I am deeply passionate about helping individuals rediscover their sense of identity, purpose, and inner strength. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in a trauma-informed perspective. I believe that healing happens in the context of a safe and trusting relationship, so I prioritize creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected without judgment.

I work with clients to understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also exploring how past experiences may be shaping present patterns. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions, and practical skill-building to help clients develop emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier ways of coping.

At the same time, I take a holistic approach to care, recognizing that healing is not just psychological, but also involves meaning, identity, and personal values. For clients who are open to it, I can incorporate faith-based perspectives as a source of strength and healing.

I tend to be both supportive and direct in my style. I will walk alongside you with compassion, while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you gain insight, build confidence, and develop tools that lead to lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even overwhelming, so my goal is to help you feel as safe and supported as possible from the very beginning.

We will spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I may ask questions about your current concerns, emotional patterns, relationships, and relevant past experiences to better understand the full picture.

Together, we will begin identifying initial goals, whether that is improving emotional regulation, reducing anxiety or depression, processing past trauma, or strengthening your sense of identity and direction. I also like to check in on what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past so we can build an approach that fits you.

You can expect me to be both compassionate and engaged. I will listen carefully, offer gentle guidance, and begin introducing practical tools or perspectives when appropriate. Most importantly, you will not be rushed or pressured. This is your space, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
