Great to meet you!

Life can be difficult. Sometimes we need help getting through it. My goal is to instill a sense of hope, as well as practical steps, to effectively deal with whatever difficulty you're dealing with in life.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from McNeese State University in Louisiana, and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. Clinical social work is counseling, but with a holistic view of the person being counseled, acknowledging that each part of a person's life impacts the others.

Much of my experience is counseling teenagers and young adults. I've worked in outpatient as well as inpatient mental health facilities. I have worked with people facing a variety of difficult life issues, as well as with people from a variety of cultures.

My approach to therapy

One of my priorities is to create a safe and supportive environment for you. It is essential that you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered throughout our time together.

I can adapt my therapeutic approach to meet your needs and preferences. I aim to learn your strengths, struggles, needs, and goals. Then, together, we will develop a plan for successfully dealing with the current challenge and achieving your goal. Whether your goal is to learn to deal with a big life issue or learn more about yourself or just grow as a person, together we will make it happen.

What you can expect from me

You will leave our counseling sessions feeling heard, understood, and empowered. You will feel a sense of hope for the future, as well as practical steps to take to improve your life. I'm looking forward to working with you!
