Great to meet you!

I have worked in community mental health as a case manager for four and half years, working with clients that experience severe mental illness and psychosis. I worked with the individual directly, and assisted them with locating medication services, and dealing with symptoms, while taking their lifestyle and environment into consideration for treatment. I have experience with veterans struggling with PTSD, social anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. My educational background includes: Associate of Art in Criminal Justice, Associate of Science in Behavioral Science, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have an interest in trauma and have been trained in brainspotting, with certification coming within the next two years.

My approach to therapy

I believe that who we are today is greatly affected by what we experienced during childhood. The people around us and the environment we grew up in shaped the decisions that we made as life progressed. I work to help individuals process unresolved memories and experiences through psychodynamic techniques and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). We will work through negative thoughts and replace negative behaviors to help you become the person you were meant to be, your true self.

What you can expect from me

I work to create a calm and soothing environment, whether you're in my office, or on my screen. We will determine what you feel like has been difficult for you and what you want from therapy. Then we will determine an acceptable path to your goal based on what you're willing to do to get there, which begins with establishing strengths, barriers, and the end goal.
