Great to meet you!

Candice McManis, MSW, LCSW is a PA Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Thrive Integrative Counseling & Wellness, LLC. Candice received her MSW from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 and has experience working with families, couples, Veterans, health care professionals, children and teens. Clients often describe Candice as compassionate, grounding, and genuine. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and empowerment-where clients feel heard and supported while developing the skills and insight needed to create meaningful change. With nearly 20 years of experience in mental health care, Candice specializes in supporting women as they navigate life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, caregiver stress, trauma, grief, and the pressure of balancing multiple roles.

My approach to therapy

Drawing from extensive experience in both outpatient and medical settings, Candice brings a deep understanding of how stress, trauma, and life demands affect women across the lifespan. She is especially passionate about helping women who are caregivers, professionals, mothers, and helpers learn to set boundaries, reconnect with themselves, and build sustainable resilience without guilt or burnout. Candice uses evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, family systems, and grief counseling.

What you can expect from me

Treatment is always individualized, collaborative, and paced to meet each client where they are. Candice believes therapy should be a space where women feel safe, understood, and empowered. Her approach goes beyond symptom management, focusing on the whole person - mind, body, and emotional well-being. She integrates evidence- based therapy with mindfulness, wellness coaching, and experiential approaches to help clients move from surviving to truly thriving.
