Great to meet you!

Candice is a dedicated therapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University and over 20 years of military service as a Behavioral Health Technician. She is a Certified Sex Therapist, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and an EMDR-trained clinician pursuing full EMDR certification. Candice works with veterans and military families addressing PTSD, sexual trauma, LGBTQIA+ concerns, consensual non-monogamy, infidelity, depression, anxiety, and complex relationship dynamics.

Candice takes a collaborative, personalized approach using CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions. She provides affirming, nonjudgmental care where individuals build self-worth, increase resilience, and reclaim personal agency. She also supports couples in strengthening intimacy, restoring trust, and deepening emotional and sexual connection.

In sessions, clients can expect a supportive, respectful space to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns openly. Candice prioritizes strong therapeutic alliances, recognizing that trust and connection are essential for lasting change. She welcomes the opportunity to support you in building a healthier, more fulfilling life or relationship.

My approach to therapy

Candice employs an informal, personalized approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness. She is committed to providing affirming, comprehensive care in a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals to regain power, self-love, and self-worth, as well as allowing couples to explore their sexual and relational journeys.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a structured yet supportive space where we begin clarifying your goals, concerns, and what feels most important to address. I will ask thoughtful questions to understand your history, current stressors, and relational or sexual dynamics while ensuring you feel safe and respected. We will collaborate on initial treatment priorities and discuss the therapeutic approaches that may best support you. Most importantly, the first session is about building trust, establishing comfort, and creating a clear direction for the work ahead.
