Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Capri Coggi, MA, LMHC-D. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with diagnostic privilege in New York State.

I am a compassionate and committed clinician who utilizes a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. I focus on fostering a safe, supportive environment where individuals can process their experiences and work toward healing and growth. My clinical experience spans both inpatient and outpatient care, serving diverse populations including civilians, first responders, law enforcement personnel, correctional staff, and members of the military.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other serious mental health conditions. I integrate evidence-based practices into my work, with expertise in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), crisis intervention, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and it's completely normal to have questions or uncertainty about the process. In our first session, my priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and heard. We'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what has brought you to therapy, and exploring any challenges, concerns, or goals that are important to you.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels right for you while building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration. Together, we'll identify areas you'd like to work on and begin developing a plan that supports your healing, personal growth, and overall well-being.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling understood, empowered, and with a clearer sense of how therapy can help you move toward the life you want to create.
