Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cara. I believe therapy is a place where brokenness meets hope.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I work with individuals who are ready to process past trauma, manage anxiety, and move toward healthier patterns.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in person-centered care — meaning you will be met with empathy, respect, and genuine support.

I utilize Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients work through painful experiences and Solution-Focused Therapy to identify strengths and create forward movement. I deeply value the integration of faith for clients who desire it and believe that healing often involves mind, body, and spirit.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for growth, I strive to provide a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but my goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, supportive, and collaborative.

Our first time meeting is primarily focused on getting to know you. I want to understand what brings you to therapy, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope will feel different in your life. We’ll talk about your goals and what meaningful progress would look like for you.

I’ll also take time to explain my approach so you know exactly what to expect moving forward. Therapy with me is grounded in a person-centered foundation, meaning you will be met with empathy, respect, and genuine support.

When I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we’ll look at how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools you can use in everyday life.

With Solution-Focused Therapy, we’ll spend time identifying your strengths, past successes, and small, achievable steps that move you toward your goals. This approach helps create forward momentum and builds confidence along the way.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how we’ll work together and a sense of direction for our next steps.
