Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas with more than 25 years experience providing individual and couples therapy. I received my master's degree in counseling and educational psychology from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi in 1997. I'm certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Texas Department of State Health Services.

A bit about my approach to therapy

The hardest step to take is that first step. I applaud your courage and look forward to working with you to overcome challenges and obstacles to meet your greatest potential in a non-judgmental, non-biased and safe atmosphere. While I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will use a therapeutic approach that best suits your needs. My focus has been primarily with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship, marital issues, women's issues & post traumatic stress.

What you can expect from our first session

Your session is yours and therapy goals are set by you. We will have a thorough discussion of what you are having difficulty with, and in what direction you would like your life to go. We will discuss what that looks like for you and my goal is to provide you with quality of care and professionalism throughout this process by utilizing the guiding principles of compassion, respect and empathy in a way that builds on your strengths.
