Great to meet you!

I am so glad you are searching for a counselor that will fit your needs. I am a counselor who is a single mom of two adult children who has experienced many challenges. I have experienced many difficulties, and with a good therapist, I have overcome many obstacles. I have personal wisdom along with my official training that lends itself to helping those who may have experienced domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault, and drug addiction.

Like me, everyone has a story to tell that deserves to be heard. It is the telling of these stories that can be the start of the healing process. Through your story I believe in the power of therapy to change lives from being difficult and seemingly endless, to creating a strength-based, value-based, and joyful life.

I use a values-based approach to help my clients discover what they value most in their lives. With this discovery, my clients can pivot their actions, emotions, and thoughts toward fulfilling what they value most in their lives. I can work with individuals struggling with anxiety and/or depression, individuals with personality issues, and bipolar disorder, and those struggling with symptoms of trauma.

I am a counselor who is trained to work with many different populations. I also work with individuals who have experienced legal issues, I have worked with families, couples, and children dealing with the issue of a fracture in a marital relationship. I can work with teenagers and their parents to improve communication. I love to work with those who are neurodivergent and those who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

It is so important to know that your relationship with me is sacred. I hold no judgment and the therapeutic relationship is one that is built on trust. I am here to listen to your story and help you discover your strengths and your values in the sacred space of our relationship. Once this is done you will be amazed at how wonderful and joyful life can be!

My approach to therapy

I am a strengths, and values-based therapist who will work with you to not only find solutions to your current issues but help you to discover your strengths and your values and build the life that you want. I am straightforward and will gently challenge you to reframe your thoughts so that your behaviors align positively.

I also believe in the body and mind connection and will work with you on finding where your trauma or your emotions show up in your body We can work through those emotions and create a healthier mind and body. I also believe that our attachment styles are important to understand so that we can build healthy attachments and relationships going forward.

What you can expect from me

After working with me you will understand the areas of strengths that you have and your values. You will know the underdeveloped areas so that you can focus on strengthening those areas for a more well-rounded self. Through our therapeutic sessions, you will have mindfulness and breathwork skills and you will understand the tools that will help you combat any anxiety, depression, or PTSD.
