Great to meet you!

I’m warm, approachable, and down-to-earth. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, talk openly about what’s going on, and trust that you’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment.

My approach to therapy

When working with children, I incorporate age-appropriate activities, play, creativity, and conversation to help them feel comfortable expressing themselves, understanding their emotions, and developing new skills. With teens and adults, sessions may include conversation, reflection, practical strategies, and opportunities to explore patterns, emotions, and experiences in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.

Throughout therapy, we’ll work together to recognize and build on your strengths, develop coping skills, and create changes that feel meaningful and realistic for your life. I understand that everyone’s needs are different, so I’ll continue adjusting my approach based on what works best for you and where you are in your journey.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know one another and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you’d like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I may also ask about different areas of your life; such as relationships, family, school or work, current stressors, strengths, and support systems to help me understand the bigger picture.

We’ll begin identifying goals for our work together, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out or share more than you’re comfortable with. My priority is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and comfortable moving forward.

For children and teens, the first session may include time with a parent or caregiver depending on their age and needs, while also creating space for the young person to begin building their own therapeutic relationship with me.
