Careen Sisk

Hi! I'm Careen, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to assist you in your mental health care. I have been a nurse for over 20 years, all of which have been spent caring for patients with mental health and substance use diagnoses. I graduated with my master's degree in nursing from Walden University in 2025, and I am now a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, sleep disorders, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD. I hope we can connect!

I believe in a collaborative approach to your treatment. You know yourself and what works best for you. I support mutual decision-making rather than a "provider knows best" mindset. I believe in being honest and up front about potential treatment options, and I will provide you with the evidence-based information you need to be able to make informed decisions.

The decision to seek out mental health treatment is brave and one that deserves respect. Our first session will be at least an hour long, so we can discuss a variety of topics, including any past treatment you have had, medication trials, your childhood and upbringing, any traumatic experiences, and how your past could be contributing to your current symptoms. It is important to me that we start our patient-provider relationship with compassion and respect so it can continue to grow.
