Great to meet you!

I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Through active listening, empathy, and thoughtful guidance, I support individuals in exploring their experiences, gaining insight, and developing practical strategies for growth. I am committed to being consistent, honest, and culturally responsive, while gently challenging unhelpful patterns and honoring each client’s unique pace and journey.

My approach to therapy

I take a client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, collaborative approach to therapy, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My style is warm, empathetic, and supportive, while also being direct when needed to help clients gain insight and make meaningful changes.

I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, often drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and strengths-based strategies. I focus on helping clients identify patterns, build coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness.

I work with clients to set realistic, meaningful goals and support them at their own pace, while gently challenging unhelpful beliefs or behaviors that may be holding them back. My areas of focus include such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, etc., and I am committed to providing culturally responsive and inclusive care that respects each individual’s background and identity.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin to share their story at their own pace. My priority is to help clients feel comfortable and heard, while also gathering an understanding of their concerns, background, and what brings them to therapy.

We will talk about what they hope to gain from therapy, explore any immediate challenges, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic. I may ask questions about their history, relationships, and current stressors to understand the full picture better, but there is no pressure to share more than they feel ready to.

I also use the first session to explain my approach, answer any questions, and collaborate on what our work together might look like. By the end of the session, clients can expect to have a clearer sense of direction and initial goals, and to feel respected, understood, and empowered to continue the process in a supportive space.
