Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 15 years of experience who treats adult individuals, couples and families. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Miami, and have work experience ranging from private practice, inpatient substance abuse, and in the school setting. I enjoy creating strong relationships with my clients, and for this reason, clients tend to stay with me over time, whether they intend to have short-term or longer therapy. I specialize in navigating relationship and communication challenges (both individual and as a couple/family), life transitions, anxiety, attachment wounds, and patterns that impact emotional well-being and connection. My areas of focus include relationship and marital distress, parenting coaching, anxiety, communication challenges, conflict, infidelity and betrayal, attachment wounds, family dynamics, and life transitions. I help clients better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck and develop new ways of connecting with themselves and the people who matter most. While I believe insight and understanding are important, therapy with me is not just about talking about what is happening. Together, we explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be contributing to what feels difficult, while also identifying practical ways to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, and conversational, drawing from systemic, behavioral, interpersonal, attachment-informed and insight-oriented approaches. I get to know my clients, tailoring treatment to individual needs, rather than one-size-fits-all. I enjoy seeing clients grow by combining meaningful exploration of underlying patterns with practical strategies. I am engaged and interactive in my approach, and will give you points of interest to focus on or actively engage in between sessions. Therapy with me will not be stagnant. I will work together with you for therapy to feel impactful and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, direct, and nonjudgmental style. I pride myself on creating a space where clients can feel accepted and understood, while also being gently challenged to look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I feel that therapy is most impactful when my clients feel safe and supported. During your first session, I aim to gather information about you, your history, the challenges that you are currently facing, as well as goals and objectives for therapy. You'll also have an opportunity to ask me any questions that you have about proceeding with therapy. Your first session allows me to get to know you as a person so that I can be most helpful to you as we proceed with therapy.
