Great to meet you!

I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Carin and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed to practice in California and Virginia. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, teens, adolescents, and children—basically, if you're human and willing to grow, we’ll get along just fine.

Therapy with me is not just about venting on a couch (although there’s plenty of space for that too); it’s about creating real, lasting change. I take a solutions-focused approach, which means we’re not just going to dig through the past for sport, we’re going to use what we learned to grow.

Therapy isn’t a one-time fix; it’s a lifestyle shift. Like drinking more water, getting adequate sleep, and realizing you don’t have to answer that text message right away. Growth is a process, but we’ll make it manageable, meaningful, and enjoyable.

I believe in the incredible resilience and ability of people to heal and grow, even if they feel stuck right now. I especially love working with those who understand that the mind and body are a team. One doesn’t clock in without the other. So if you’re paying attention to your physical well-being, that’s already a huge win in our work together. When you come to therapy, come ready to step into the next chapter of your personal growth. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just bring yourself, your story, and willingness to grow. We’ll go from there:)

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), which basically means I’ve turned my natural talent for listening, problem-solving, and talking people off emotional cliffs into a full-time career.

LCSW's don’t just sit and nod, we walk with you through the hard stuff and help you get unstuck.

I’ve had the honor of working with adults (men and women), couples, families, adolescents, and children across all walks of life with co-morbid mental illnesses. Let’s just say, I’ve seen a little bit of everything.

From supporting individuals in emotional freefall, those facing suicidal thoughts/gestures, homicidal ideation, or who are gravely disabled, to helping families navigate everyday stressors, my work is rooted in compassion, clarity, and the belief that change is possible.

I’m a solution-focused therapist, which means I’m not here to keep you trapped in the painful reruns of your past. We acknowledge it, we honor it, and then we shift gears.

Working with me means showing up ready to grow. It means honesty, a little humor, and a lot of work. Therapy does work... if you do the work. And I’ll be there beside you every step of the way, keeping it real, helping you rebuild, and reminding you of your power.

What you can expect from our first session

Expect real talk, real strategies, and real change. My goal is to help you walk away from each session with clarity, direction, and a sense of forward momentum. We won’t just vent, we’ll problem-solve. You’ll learn how to shift your mindset, develop healthier habits, and respond to life’s challenges in ways that protect your peace and preserve your power. You’ll get tools to manage anxiety, cope with stress, improve relationships, and build confidence — all while reconnecting to the healthiest version of yourself.

You’ll also start to notice that therapy with me feels like a reset, not just emotionally, but mentally and physically too.

Bottom line? You’ll leave our sessions feeling seen, supported, and equipped with what you need to stop spinning your wheels and start showing up for the life you actually want.
