Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree from UCONN, I bring over nine years of experience working with adolescents and their families. I have had the privilege of supporting a diverse population through challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, social skills development, attachment difficulties, major life transitions and school avoidance.

Additionally, I speak Portuguese and am happy to provide services for Portuguese-speaking clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, focusing on building trust and creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I integrate family work and attachment-based interventions to foster healthier relationships and deeper connections. Whether working with teens navigating social or academic stressors, adults managing life’s challenges, or families looking to improve communication and connection, I tailor my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.

In my work with clients I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques to help clients develop effective coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful change. My goal is to empower individuals with the tools and confidence they need to navigate life’s challenges and build a more fulfilling future.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We’ll work collaboratively to:

  • Identify and build on your strengths and resilience
  • Explore and understand the challenges you’re facing
  • Develop personalized coping strategies and techniques
  • Enhance your self-awareness and self-care practices
