Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Carisa. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I have been working in the mental health field for 12 years, and I have a passion for partnering with others on their journey to wellness - with an understanding that wellness looks differently for each of us. I work with children, adults and families, and I specialize in treating trauma, mood disorders, and disorders specific to childhood. I do so using a range of evidence-based treatment approaches that are tailored to my client's individual needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and consent-forward. I deeply value the lived experiences of my clients and the often hard-won wisdom that comes from those experiences. I view therapy as a partnership in which we combine our skills and knowledge to help you reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

At our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and clearly defining what brings you to therapy. This will allow us to develop goals for your treatment that are personalized and accurately reflect your needs, preferences and hopes for the future. Having clearly defined goals ensures that our sessions are focused on what is most important to you.
