Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Carissa. I help women overcome obstacles and challenges in their lives so they can heal, grow and flourish. I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified clinical trauma professional and registered yoga teacher. I have a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

My approach to therapy

My primary therapeutic approach is mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy for treating trauma and mood-related issues. I have additional training in treating trauma, health issues and insomnia.

I incorporate an integrative approach to treatment, which means I take into consideration your emotional, behavioral, cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual aspects when developing your wellness plan.

What you can expect from me

During my session with you, we will set realistic goals and process what's happening in your life so you have a better understanding of yourself. Every session ends with a clear take away that you can apply right away so with each session you will gain valuable tools for life!
