I've worked with veterans at the Denver area V.A. Medical Center for the past 28 years; some briefly, some for decades, regardless of clients' mental health concerns, gender, age or other characteristics. I learned from all of them.
My approach is eclectic drawing on evidence based practices including ACT, CBT, and mindfulness. Listening carefully and building a trusting relationship is important regardless of approach used.
I try to help clients learn to set goals for themselves and to recognize progress when progress happens.
