Great to meet you!

A passion for helping others is at the heart of everything I do—both professionally and personally. I know that real change is rarely accomplished alone, and I want you to know that you don’t have to face this journey by yourself. Our work together will be built on a meaningful, collaborative relationship, where your growth and well-being are always the priority. As we explore the challenges you bring to therapy, we’ll take a thoughtful look at the underlying causes and conditions that may be holding you back. Life can be difficult, and coping isn’t always easy—but we’ll identify where you feel stuck and work together to clear a path forward. With 25 years of experience and a deep commitment to compassionate care, I offer interventions grounded in the latest clinical standards. My goal is to walk alongside you, not as an expert who has all the answers, but as a trusted partner in your journey toward the life you want to build. Between sessions, I’ll encourage you to practice what we discuss, because lasting change often happens in the small, consistent steps we take every day.

I truly believe in the value of online therapy—not only for its convenience and flexibility, but because I’ve seen it work remarkably well over many years. That said, I understand it’s not the right fit for everyone, and I respect that choice completely. I hold an MBA in Leadership Development and a PhD in Counseling Psychology, and for over two decades, I’ve practiced as a clinical psychologist while also training graduate students in a master’s program. On a more personal note, I share my home with two Bichons who keep me company—and remind me daily of the importance of warmth, patience, and joy.

My approach to therapy

My clinical experience spans over 30 years, and I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns—including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and addiction recovery. Each person’s story is unique, and I bring a flexible, thoughtful approach to meet you where you are. My practice is grounded in a number of evidence-based and insight-oriented modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Internal Family Systems, Jungian-informed therapy, and mindfulness- and compassion-based approaches. I also offer coaching for work-related concerns when that feels like the right fit. In addition, I am formally trained and deeply experienced in psychoanalysis, which enriches my understanding of the deeper patterns that shape our lives. Above all, my goal is not to apply a one-size-fits-all method, but to tailor our work to your unique needs, drawing on the tools that will serve you best. You bring the courage and commitment—I’ll bring the expertise and steady support to help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together is an important first step—and I want you to feel completely at ease as we begin. We’ll start by talking openly about what brought you to therapy at this point in your life, and I’ll invite you to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. I’ll take some time to briefly review key aspects of your personal history, not to probe or pressure, but to gain a thoughtful understanding of the context that has shaped your experiences and challenges. Along the way, I’ll ask questions that help me see the fuller picture of who you are—your strengths, your struggles, and what truly matters to you.

Equally important, you’ll have plenty of time to ask me anything. Whether you're curious about how I typically work, what a session might look like, how we’ll track progress, or what you can expect as we move forward—I welcome all of your questions. This first appointment is not just about me getting to know you; it’s about you getting to know me, too. I want you to leave with a clear sense of my approach, my style, and what therapy with me might feel like over time.

I also understand that finding the right therapist is deeply personal—and perhaps one of the most important factors in whether therapy is truly transformative. The connection between us matters, and I never take that lightly. That’s why I encourage you to view our first session as a genuine opportunity to decide if I am the right fit for you. There is no pressure, no expectation—only an open space for you to explore whether you feel safe, heard, and understood with me. My hope is that from our very first conversation, you’ll sense that I am not only a skilled clinician, but also a genuine, caring human being who is truly invested in your well-being. You are not just another client to me—you are a person with a unique story, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you begin this journey toward greater clarity, healing, and growth.
