Professional Credentials & Experience

  • I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with over 13 years of clinical experience.
  • I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and have spent my career supporting teens, adults, and older adults through a variety of life challenges.
  • My background includes private practice and working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and self-esteem concerns.

Why We’ll Work Well Together

  • You’ll always come first: your goals, your comfort, and your voice in the process.
  • I combine evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with compassion, giving you practical tools and a safe space to explore change.
  • Humor and humanity matter: therapy can be deep work, but a warm laugh or a lighter moment often helps us move forward together.

If you’re ready to build coping skills, process challenges, and move toward the life you want, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s get started.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide guidance and a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard. From the very first session, my goal is to help you explore challenges, gain insight, and feel empowered to take meaningful steps forward.

With over 13 years of experience, I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused strategies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate mindfulness techniques and practical coping skills to help you manage stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Our sessions are collaborative and flexible: we’ll set clear goals, track progress, celebrate successes, and adjust strategies as needed. Between sessions, I may suggest brief exercises; like thought records, reflective prompts, or mindfulness practices to help turn insight into action. I bring empathy, curiosity, and a touch of lightheartedness, tailoring therapy to your unique story while keeping it practical, inclusive, and focused on helping you build confidence and resilience.

What you can expect from me

What You Can Expect

  • From the moment we meet, I'll listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt our approach to fit your unique needs, creating a warm and empathetic partnership.
  • Together, we’ll define what you want to achieve and track progress along the way, so you always know where we’re headed and can celebrate each step forward.
  • As we work together, we may explore CBT techniques, mindfulness exercises, or solution-focused strategies, adjusting methods to match your pace and goals.
  • Your comfort, privacy, and personal values are always at the center of our work.
  • From the very first session, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to start making meaningful changes.
