Great to meet you!

I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Design 2011. I went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College in 2018. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in schools, community mental health agencies, and private practice settings. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults with trauma, mood disorders, and difficulty adjusting to life changes.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I know that therapy is a vulnerable process, especially for those who are seeking counseling for the first time. I begin this process by focusing first on educating clients and building trust and rapport. I then typically incorporate a variety of approaches to therapy, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also a Registered Art Therapist and if clients are interested I can incorporate art therapy into sessions.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect the counseling process to be collaborative, with us working together to set goals for what they would like to get out of each session. Together, we will focus on learning new skills, gaining insight into problems and symptoms, expressing emotions, and developing a healthy relationship with the self.
