Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Carline Jean, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adolescence and adults through a supportive and collaborative approach. I understand that seeking mental health treatment can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

I have advanced training in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and the treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, and sleep difficulties. I also support individuals who are new to medication as well as those looking to optimize or adjust their current treatment plan.

As a nurse practitioner, I take time to understand the whole person — including medical history, lifestyle factors, and personal goals — so that care is individualized and meaningful. I value open communication and believe treatment works best when decisions are made together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, open-minded, and solution-oriented. I focus on helping clients gain symptom relief while also building insight, coping skills, and long-term stability. Treatment plans are collaborative and tailored to your needs, whether that includes medication management, education, lifestyle support, or coordination with therapy.

I strive to meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels comfortable, while still working toward practical, achievable goals. My priority is to help you feel supported, informed, and confident in your care.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a thorough and compassionate psychiatric evaluation in a safe, non-judgmental space. We will discuss your current concerns, mental health history, medical background, and treatment goals. I take time to listen, answer questions, and ensure you feel comfortable and understood.

Together, we will begin developing a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication options, education, and next steps for care. My goal for the first visit is for you to leave feeling supported, informed, and hopeful, with a clear understanding of the plan moving forward.
