Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Carlissa, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy can be both meaningful and human. My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on helping you better understand yourself, your patterns, and the experiences that have shaped you. I especially enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, life transitions, self-esteem, and the process of learning how to set healthier boundaries. I incorporate approaches such as Parts Work, CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system education to help clients build greater self-awareness and create meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged when needed, and comfortable showing up as your full self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I help clients look beyond what they’re feeling in the moment to better understand the patterns, experiences, and different parts of themselves that may be influencing how they navigate life and relationships. I often incorporate Parts Work, CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system education while tailoring sessions to each client’s individual needs. Together, we’ll work toward building greater self-awareness, developing practical tools, and creating changes that feel authentic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling difficult, what you hope to gain from our work together, and the goals you’d like to focus on. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you can show up as yourself without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. Most importantly, we’ll begin building a plan that feels realistic, intentional, and unique to you.
