Hello! My name is Dr. Carlton Jean. I am a licensed to practice in New York as a clinical social worker. I have been in the field of clinical work since 2011 have graduated from New York University with my Masters in Social Work, and my Doctorate in Social Welfare. My services seeks to inspire hope and collaborate to develop concrete skills and approaches in addressing a wide range of issues and concerns for my clients.
My approach to therapy is that our work is a partnership. We develop treatment goals together and interventions are planned together. Clients are experts of their experiences, our collaboration utilizes the strengths clients bring into the helping process, and my contribution includes skills based on training and education, but most importantly, a listening ear.
Clients can expect to find that they have inherent dignity and worth which will be celebrated and used in the helping process. Clients can also expect to practice skills to work through or manage life's stressors.
