Great to meet you!

I graduated with my M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from Jacksonville University. I earned by B.A in Psychology, with minor in Spanish Language and Culture from Florida International University. I have served a diverse population during my career and am not afraid of cultural exploration!

My approach to therapy

I utilize an eclectic approach to support one's mental wellness journey, which includes combining principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy, to help client's understand their thinking and how to combat negative thoughts, with solution-focused elements, to assist clients in achieving their goals and devising solutions they need for those in-the-moment crises.

What you can expect from me

I never expect someone to spill their entire pot of beans right away, even past a first session. But, I am dedicated to getting in the trenches with my clients and walking alongside them in their strife, providing support wherever possible. If a client feels safe and comfortable to share their deepest concerns in the first session, this will not be discouraged. Everyone's pace is different for therapy. In the first session, I enjoy learning about a client's story, what brings them to seeking therapy, their expectations, myth-busting any therapy stigma, and addressing any hesitations or concerns that may impede their ability to engage meaningfully in therapeutic process.
