My name is Carly Dunn. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a community mental health background. I care deeply about meeting you where you are at. If you are looking for a nonjudgmental therapist who will hold space AND challenge you, I am serious about working with you.
I am a Psychodynamic oriented therapist, which means I will want to explore relational dynamics, encourage your emotional experiencing about the issues, and to take our time exploring deep roots of what might be troubling you. I can provide a good balance of process and incorporating coping skills to manage anxiety and rumination.
In a first session, I will want to hear about what brings you in at this point in your life. I will want you to express to me your hopes and/or doubts about entering therapy. I will want to demonstrate to you my presence and active listening. I am here to help name anything that might feel ambiguous about therapy itself and welcome you into a working relationship with me.
