Great to meet you!

My name is Carly and I have over 8 years of experience working in the mental health and social services field. I have experience working in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings. I have worked with clients of all ages including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I became a social worker because I wanted to help others through life’s most vulnerable and pivotal moments. I believe empathy, trust, and unconditional positive regard are core strengths that I bring to my therapeutic space. I want to learn about my clients’ strengths in addition to their struggles. I feel it is very important to provide a warm, welcoming space where people feel heard, validated, and supported. I strive to meet my clients where they are at amongst their journeys by creating a safe space for them to share their truths. I am committed to being an accepting, kind, empathetic therapist who values the dignity and worth of others. I look forward to supporting my new clients in their growth process to empower them in facing life’s most emotionally charged experiences.

My approach to therapy

I take a solution-focused approach with my clients in addition to including hallmarks of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

What you can expect from me

At first session, you can expect to feel an open, inviting space where you can be free to share vulnerable truths with the goal of allowing me to understand you as a whole person. I like to take the time at first session to understand the whys behind what you are going through and why you are seeking counseling. In doing so, we can set feasible, realistic goals for your outpatient therapy experience.
