Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist with extensive experience providing individual, couples, and group therapy to adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, chronic mental health concerns, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive environment where you can better understand what is getting in the way, develop practical strategies for change, and build greater resilience and emotional well-being.

I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech University and have trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including university counseling centers, inpatient and outpatient mental health programs, skilled nursing facilities, and community behavioral health agencies. My clinical experience includes diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention, individual and family psychotherapy, couples counseling, and working with adults managing chronic and complex mental health conditions.

Throughout my career, I have also held clinical leadership positions, including serving as a Clinical Director of Services and Training and as a Regional Director within behavioral health organizations. In these roles, I have overseen clinical quality, supervised and trained clinicians, developed professional training programs, and worked closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on mental health and strengthened my ability to understand each client within the larger context of their relationships, experiences, environment, and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including interpersonal process therapy, cognitive-behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, personality, experiences, and goals. Together, we will work to understand patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties while also focusing on solutions and strategies you can use in your everyday life. I want therapy to help you develop greater insight, but also to translate that insight into meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will take the time to understand what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, relevant experiences from your past, and what you would like to accomplish. We will begin identifying the issues that are having the greatest impact on your life and discuss what a successful course of therapy might look like for you. Drawing on my clinical experience and training, I will work collaboratively with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that builds on your strengths and addresses your specific needs. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard and understood, with greater clarity about what we can work on together and a practical path forward.
