Great to meet you!

My name is Carly Reina, and I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. I provide mental health care across the full lifespan — from children, adolescents, adults, and seniors — and I take pride in the breadth and depth of experience that allows me to serve individuals and families at every stage of life.

My primary clinical focus areas include relationships, sleep disorders, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I also work with clients navigating bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, panic disorders, chronic conditions, OCD, stress, and family concerns.

My work with children, adolescents, and young adults is particularly meaningful to me. Early childhood is one of the most critical and often underserved periods for mental health — and having a provider who understands the unique developmental, relational, and behavioral landscape of these early years can make a profound difference for both children and their families.

Whatever stage of life you or your loved one is in, I am here to provide thoughtful, individualized care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, practical, and always adapted to the person — and the age — in front of me. Across all the populations I serve, I prioritize building trust, listening carefully, and tailoring care to each individual's unique needs and circumstances.

I draw on Behavioral Therapy to help clients — particularly children and those with ADHD, impulse control challenges, or early behavioral concerns — develop new patterns of response and build positive, sustainable habits. For the youngest clients, this often includes working closely with caregivers and parents as key partners in the process.

I use Motivational Interviewing to meet clients where they are, especially those navigating ambivalence about change or early stages of recognizing a need for support. This approach respects each person's autonomy and helps them connect with their own reasons and readiness for change.

I also take sleep seriously as a clinical concern — not just a symptom. Sleep affects everything: mood, attention, relationships, physical health, and functioning. I bring dedicated focus to sleep-related issues as part of comprehensive, whole-person care.

What you can expect from me

Whether you're coming in for yourself, or bringing a parent or child, the first session is about beginning to understand each other.

I'll ask about what's brought you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping our work together might help with. For families with young children, I'll want to understand the full picture — developmental history, family dynamics, caregiving context — because early childhood concerns rarely exist in isolation.

For adult clients, I'll gather mental and physical health history and ask about daily life, relationships, sleep, and stress — all of which factor into how I think about care. For clients managing chronic medical conditions alongside mental health concerns, I pay close attention to those intersections.

By the end of our first session, we'll have a beginning plan: what we're focusing on, how we'll approach it, and what next steps look like. Medication options will be discussed transparently and collaboratively where relevant. Every decision is made together.

Whatever brings you through the door, you'll find a thoughtful, attentive partner in your care — from the very first session.
