Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Carly! I believe that a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is the key to helping my clients feel successful in therapy.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Prairie View A&M University where I played Division 1 soccer for 4 years. I then went on to obtain my MSW from Newman University where my program was focused on a family-systems approach. I have worked in a variety of settings since completing my MSW program including an inpatient psychiatric facility and with military families at a local Air Force base. When I am not working I enjoy getting outside with my husband and 2 children as well as spending time with friends.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for support during a difficult season of life, I am here to help you build resilience, confidence, and hope for the future.

My approach to therapy

I use a strengths-based and client-centered approach that allows me to meet my clients where they are at and help them in their journey to healing. My approach to therapy is to help my clients identify their individual strengths that they can utilize to reach their goals. I aim to make all my clients feel empowered to make the changes they want to see in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and my goal is to help you feel supported, seen and understood. I will ask questions that will help me get to know you as well as what you are looking for in your therapy journey. I utilize humor and warmth to provide clients with a safe space where they can truly be themselves and open up.

I understand that beginning therapy can be overwhelming and comes with a sense of vulnerability; my hope is that you leave our first session feeling confident and hopeful moving forward in your healing journey.
