Great to meet you!

I have over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s toughest moments. As a therapist, I understand how important it is to have a space where you don’t have to explain or shrink who you are.

My work has taken me into homes, schools, juvenile courts, DFCS offices, and community agencies, so I’ve truly seen how complicated life can get.

I’ve helped children, teens, and adults who are dealing with things like:

•Stress and overwhelm

• Anxiety and depression

• Trauma and difficult life experiences

• Parenting challenges and family conflict

• Behavioral concerns with kids and teens

• Court involvement or child welfare stress

• Relationship struggles and communication issues

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which emphasizes strengths, hope, and meaningful change. Rather than focusing heavily on problems or past difficulties, I work with clients to identify what they want to be different and how they will know progress is happening.

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. Each person comes to therapy with existing skills, resilience, and experiences that can be used to create positive change. My role is to help uncover and build on those strengths, while supporting clients in developing clear, achievable goals.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming, respectful space where we focus on what you want to be different in your life rather than spending extensive time on problems or past difficulties. I understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable, so we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

I’ll begin by asking what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of our work together. We’ll talk about what is already going well, your strengths, and times when the problem feels less intense or more manageable. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My role is to help guide the conversation in a way that feels purposeful and supportive.
