Great to meet you!
Hello and welcome. My name is Carmen Schott, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) committed to helping individuals achieve greater emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can gain insight, develop effective coping skills, and move toward a greater sense of balance, healing, and purpose.
I am a Certified Trauma Therapist and Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Therapist, and I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I work as an Assistant Professor of Social Work in an MSW online program, mentoring new social workers. I work as a Clinical Director, mentoring new master-level social workers in licensure and case consultation.
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, I have worked with individuals, couples, trauma survivors, first responders, military members, veterans, and their families. I also support teens and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, stress, and major life transitions.
My approach is holistic and client-centered, recognizing the important connection between the mind, body, and spirit. When desired, I can incorporate spiritual counseling, including psychological astrology, into the therapeutic process, helping clients deepen self-awareness, discover personal strengths, and create meaningful change in their lives.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting well-being.
