
Carmen received her Masters at Boston College and has 6+ years of experience providing psychotherapy. She has experience working with individuals 15+ y/o from diverse backgrounds including immigration, LGBTQ+, incarceration, domestic violence, substance use, spiritual trauma, etc. Carmen has been trained in CBT, Narrative Therapy, DBT, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Nature-Based Therapy, trauma-informed care, and more to address differing diagnoses and life barriers.
Carmen utilizes a strength-based, client-centered approach to provide holistic treatment to address biopsychosocial-spiritual difficulties. Carmen is passionate about collaborating and supporting people's goals and believes mental health therapy can assist individuals who are having difficulty with mental health symptoms, shame and guilt, relationships, grief, self-esteem, disconnection, decision-making, and more.
Clients can expect to feel heard and seen in their areas of difficulties, accomplishments and progress. If the session is going in a direction that a client does not prefer, let's chat about it and make sure you feel comfortable with our interventions!
