Great to meet you!

Reaching out for support takes courage, and finding someone who truly understands you makes all the difference. I am Carmen, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with seven years of experience walking alongside people through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and the pressures of everyday life. As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, so you can share your story in the language that feels most like home. Whether you are moving through a hard season or simply ready for something to change, you deserve a space that feels warm, safe, and free of judgment. I would be honored to support you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and shaped around you, never one-size-fits-all. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you notice the thought patterns that keep you stuck, Cognitive Processing Therapy to gently work through trauma and painful experiences, and Motivational Interviewing to help you reconnect with your own strengths and goals. I believe healing happens in relationship, so we move at your pace and build on what is already working in your life. Many clients describe our sessions as feeling less like a clinical appointment and more like talking with someone who genuinely gets it. Together, we turn insight into real, everyday change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session there is no pressure to have everything figured out. We start by simply getting to know each other. I will listen to what brought you here, what you are hoping for, and what matters most to you, and from there we shape a plan that fits your life and your goals. You can expect a therapist who is fully present, celebrates your progress, and meets you with honesty and compassion. Most clients leave that first conversation feeling lighter, understood, and hopeful about what comes next.
