Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Carmen Villegas, a Licensed Professional Counselor and bilingual therapist. Through my experience working with children, families, and adults in higher education, I’ve come to appreciate that every individual’s journey is unique. My approach to therapy blends traditional techniques, expressive arts, inner child healing, and cultural sensitivity to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous decision, and I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, understanding, and compassion. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—let’s take it together.

A bit about my approach to therapy

With a foundation in a person-centered approach, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you feel empowered to take the lead in your healing journey. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, identity issues, childhood wounds, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about helping adults process and heal childhood wounds through inner child work.

In my approach, I integrate therapeutic modalities such as reparenting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, self-compassion, and expressive art therapy to support healing and self-discovery. By blending these techniques, I guide individuals toward self-acceptance, emotional growth, and lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can heal, grow, and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from our first session

In our counseling sessions, you will find a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where your voice is heard and valued. My approach is integrative and collaborative, combining evidence-based practices with a touch of humor and deep compassion. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling empowered, equipped with practical tools, and confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.
