Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in both Tennessee and California, with over a decade of experience in private practice. My work focuses on complex trauma, relationship distress, first responder and military families, betrayal wounds, and emotional or narcissistic abuse recovery. I trained at Western Seminary, where my clinical development and faith formation were deeply connected, and I offer faith-informed support for clients who want that included. My style is warm, direct, and highly engaged, and I help clients understand the deeper patterns affecting their lives, relationships, and nervous system. My goal is to create a space where clients can face what is true with clarity, compassion, and practical support.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and active. I do not just sit back and nod. I help clients slow down, identify patterns, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and connect what they are feeling in their body with what they are experiencing emotionally and relationally.

I specialize in complex trauma, first responder and military families, emotional and narcissistic abuse recovery, betrayal wounds, and relationship distress. I often integrate trauma-informed care, nervous system education, EMDR, mindfulness, family systems, and practical communication tools. For clients who want faith included, I can also offer faith-informed support in a respectful and grounded way.

My goal is to help clients move toward clarity, healing, stronger boundaries, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I want to understand what brought you here and what you are hoping for. You do not need to have it all figured out, most people do not. What I ask is that you show up honestly. I will ask questions that go a little deeper than you might expect. I am not just gathering history, I am already listening for patterns, trying to understand how you are wired, what has shaped you, and what may be keeping you stuck. By the end of our first session, my goal is that you feel seen, have a clearer sense of what we are working toward, and leave with at least one thing that lands differently than when you walked in. Therapy with me is safe, but it is also active. Growth can be uncomfortable, but you will not be pushed further than you are ready to go, and you will not have to do the work alone.
