Great to meet you!

I am an artist first and foremost, and studied Art Therapy and Counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM. I grew up in and reside currently in Massachusetts and love New England, and also loved living in the western United States for several years.

I love making art in many forms, and trust my own creative power. I received my Bachelors in Art from University of Dallas, a small liberal school in Irving, TX.

I love cats, my husband, and my children and spending ample time with all of them.

My approach to therapy

When working with me, you will have an art transformative experience. You will create art throughout our 55-60 min session, while learning skills for self soothing, empowerment, and focusing on what calls to you. I facilitate the art making, hold the space, and verbally process with you throughout the session.

The art therapy work is person-centered focus, builds rapport between us, and shares compassion for all your parts! I will help you plan your goals and identify strengths.

I also provide traditional talk therapy sessions if art therapy is not desired as an approach to therapy. I use cognitive behavioral therapy as I find that is the most effective when the goal is to change undesired thoughts and feelings.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect to feel heard, validated, and comfortable in either their art making and/or verbalizing of emotions. Clients can feel like they are leading their own lives.
