Great to meet you!

Have you ever felt like you're doing everything you're supposed to do, taking care of everyone else, but somehow losing yourself along the way? Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or just plain exhausted, and wondering where to go from here. I've spent more than 30 years working in helping professions, including serving people whose needs are often overlooked, and I've been a social worker since 2007 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2010. I'm passionate about helping people recognize their worth, build on their strengths, and find the confidence to make positive changes in their lives. My goal is to provide a comfortable, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and valued.

My approach to therapy

I'm pretty down-to-earth, and I believe therapy works best when we can have an honest, comfortable conversation. I enjoy using humor when it's appropriate, but I also know when it's time to be serious and work through the tough stuff. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help you challenge negative thoughts, recognize your strengths, and develop practical ways to handle life's challenges. I'm not here to tell you how to live your life or make decisions for you, but I'll help you sort things out and explore your options. I believe real change happens when we take what we've learned and begin putting it into practice in our everyday lives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and figuring out how I can best help you. I know talking to someone you've never met about personal things can feel uncomfortable, so we'll take it one step at a time. I'll introduce myself, explain how therapy works, and go over a few important details before we talk about what brought you here. We'll discuss your concerns, gather some background information, and begin identifying goals you'd like to work toward. You don't have to have everything figured out before we meet, and my hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, comfortable, and encouraged about taking that first step.
