Great to meet you!

As a licensed mental health counselor, I am dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey toward mental and emotional well-being and personal growth. I have been in the mental health field since 2005 and have been practicing therapy since 2011. With licensure in Florida, Colorado, and Virginia, I have cultivated a diverse practice that allows me to connect with a wide range of clients, each with their unique experiences and challenges.

My journey into the field of psychotherapy began with a deep-rooted passion for understanding the human mind and the complexities of emotional health, as well as a desire to see people achieve healing. I hold a master's degree in professional counseling, which provided me with a solid foundation in mental health principles and therapeutic techniques.

Over the years, I have honed my skills through various clinical experiences, working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, panic, ADHD, Borderline Personality disorder, relationship issues, grief and life transitions.

In my practice, I have adopted an integrative approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to tailor my counseling style to each client's needs.

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance, as I have found that a trusting relationship can significantly enhance the effectiveness of therapy.

I am truly passionate about my vocation as a psychotherapist, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients on their paths to healing and self-discovery.

My approach to therapy

I am skilled in the application of CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, Schema therapy and talk therapy. I am also skilled in provision of psychoeducation regarding communication skills, boundaries, reduction of codependency and negotiation/compromise.

What you can expect from me

In terms of Goal setting, I work with clients to assist them in identifying goals. Any goal that I think would be valuable, I will recommend pursuit. Some foundational goals often suggested, are working on developing healthy thinking, learning to manage emotions, becoming effective in the practice self-care, development of valuable and effective coping skills and reducing any triggers. Progress is evidenced by reduced symptoms, triggering and improved mental and emotional stability.
