Great to meet you!

Want to communicate more assertively? Set healthier boundaries? Process re-triggered trauma that you thought was in the past? Adjust better to big life transitions? Incorporate faith & spirituality in our work? As a psychologist, I am passionate about helping adults 18+ understand themselves at a deeper level, identify what's holding them back, and then take practical steps towards change. As someone who has relocated many times in my life and as a child of immigrant parents, I've been personally shaped by multicultural influences and value understanding how different aspects of culture also shape you.

My approach to therapy

You'll find that therapy with me is a collaborative process where you are an active participant in gaining insight about yourself, deciding your goals, and moving towards positive change. I bring a warm, empowering, and validating approach, and I also ask intentional questions and share insights of my own. I try to understand each client holistically, which includes your cultural context and other things that you consider an important part of who you are.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I am more directive, meaning I ask many questions to understand your background, current concerns, and how these concerns are impacting your life. I also will invite you to collaborate in identifying your goals for therapy and some next steps you can take. In future sessions, I may not always be as directive and will often invite you to share your desired focus for the session. My hope is that therapy will help you both self-reflect and apply what you've learned.
