Carolina Dent

Hi, I’m Carolina! I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with over 12 years of experience. I currently work through telehealth with individual adults, of all genders and cultural backgrounds, who are experiencing anxiety, PTSD, trauma, life stress, life changes, and grief. I initially studied Psychology in Puerto Rico then came to Florida and finished a master’s degree in Guidance Counseling and finished with extra classes for Counseling Psychology. I know it can be difficult at times to reach out for help and to share your life situations with a stranger. Whether working through trauma or seeking personal development, my aim is to empower clients to cultivate resilience and live more fulfilling lives and I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of that journey.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices through cognitive behavioral therapy and strength-based perspective. I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, providing support, working with mindfulness, and grounding techniques to promote positive change, resilience, and help individuals heal and grow from their experiences when experiencing current or long-standing challenges.

I believe in creating a space, full of compassion and understanding, in which a client feels safe and empowered, so they can explore their emotions and experiences without judgment. During the initial sessions we work on setting achievable goals tailored to each client's needs, promoting a supportive collaborative environment where healing and positive change can truly bloom. Clients can expect to leave sessions with a clearer understanding of their emotions and experiences, equipped with practical and creative strategies to navigate challenges and promote personal growth.
