Carolina Diaz

I'm a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse treatment in both the non-profit and private sectors. Licensed in mental health counseling, I provide services in both Florida and Massachusetts. I have extensive experience with front line healthcare workers such as nurses, doctors, firefighters, and paramedics, as well as experience working with veterans. Other areas of focus include working with LGBTQ, kink, and non-monogamous communities.

I have a multifactor approach where I utilize my background in behavior analysis and combine that with cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and trauma informed care, the combination of which I use as my foundation. I then add specialized treatment approaches such as Rapid Resolution Therapy and The Gottman Method as needed. My goal is to provide clients with the tools that they need so they are better able to help themselves and feel like they are making forward progress.

At some point in our lives we reach a point where either the tools we have been using are no longer working for us, or we are unable to see the path forward. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations and we're not quite sure how we got there, or we find ourselves reacting to things in a way that we don't quite understand.
