Great to meet you!
With more than 18 years of experience in healthcare, I bring a compassionate, holistic, and patient-centered approach to psychiatric care. My background includes working as both a critical care nurse practitioner in cardiology and as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner treating individuals across the lifespan. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, trauma, stress, and overall quality of life.
I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. I understand that seeking help can feel overwhelming, and I believe healing begins with building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, understood, and actively involved in their treatment plan.
I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, stress management difficulties, grief, caregiver burnout, life transitions, and substance use concerns. I also have experience supporting healthcare professionals, caregivers, and individuals managing chronic medical conditions who may feel emotionally exhausted or overwhelmed.
My approach combines medication management with supportive therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, lifestyle modifications, and psychoeducation. I strongly believe mental health treatment should address the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.
