Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Caro! I work primarily with young adults, adolescents, and couples. I studied Holistic Counseling and Trauma counseling at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Since moving to Utah, I have worked primarily in wilderness therapy and private practice. I specialize in treating folks in the rainbow community, who are neuro-divergent, and who have trauma histories.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am very collaborative, transparent, and relational with my clients. I believe that the best therapist is the one you like and that building a therapeutic relationship is critical. I use a lot of eclectic and creative techniques such as yoga therapy, art therapy, and wilderness/experiential therapy. I like to take these ways of doing things and pair them with evidence based, trauma informed practices like IFS and EMDR.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients would describe me as warm, humorous, direct, and collaborative. I work hard to make sure my clients feel comfortable and empowered to steer the ship. I was a wilderness guide for over a decade and learned quickly that I can provide the setting, the training, and the safety, but only with my client, can we create the experience you are looking for. Most of my clients feel at ease after our first session and see some pretty significant changes within 3-6 months.
