Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Caroline McNeil and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with nearly a decade of experience helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life's challenges. My background includes school-based mental health, pediatric behavioral health, juvenile justice, crisis intervention, and community counseling, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the factors that impact emotional well-being. I earned bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice, as well as master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and crisis situations, and I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My goal is to provide a supportive, trauma-informed environment where clients can build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward lasting wellness.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is person-centered, trauma-informed, and solution-focused. I believe that every individual has unique strengths, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will work to build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change that supports your personal goals and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll review important paperwork, including informed consent and confidentiality, so you have a clear understanding of the counseling process. We'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and identifying the goals you hope to achieve. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. After the first few sessions, we'll revisit your goals together to ensure we're focusing on what matters most to you and making meaningful progress toward positive change.
